*Her cheeks puff up. She’s red-faced with tears in her eyes.*
Daisy: …

Daisy (thinking): I have to get out of here..

*Daisy sits alone on a hill outside, sulking.*

*Daisy glances to the side looking hurt and angry.*
Daisy (thinking): They probably just think I went to the bathroom.

*Daisy closes her eyes and furrows her eyebrows.*
Daisy (thinking): I bet they didn’t notice I left!

*Daisy digs into the grass as she gets up.*
Daisy (thinking): “Sweet”..

*Daisy frowns as she stands up, arms out.*
Daisy (thinking): “Innocent”..

*She hops once.*
Daisy (thinking): “Smart”..

Daisy (thinking): “Little Miss Perfect.”
*Daisy holds her head up, incensed by the thought.*

Daisy (thinking): Maybe if I was taller, bustier, sexier.. That’d be more “perfect”.
*Daisy’s shoulders slump. She blushes and pouts.*

*Daisy stands up straighter, hands on her hips.*
Daisy (thinking): Maybe THEN I’d get noticed..

Daisy (thinking): Maybe..
*Abbey, still sitting at the table, looks down in thought with a worried frown.*
Abbey: …

*Abbey leans forward, his arms crossed.*
Abbey: She’s been gone a while..
*Paulo looks at Abbey.*
Paulo: Who?

*Abbey scowls at Paulo.*
Abbey: Daisy, you IDIOT.
*Paulo furrows his brow.*
Paulo: Geez, chill out. She’s probably just in the bathroom.

Abbey: Good to see you’re too busy ogling other girls to even notice.
Paulo: Oh, so what have YOU been doing?
*Tess looks away from the table with silent concern.*
Tess: …

Paulo: It’s like you don’t care about anyone who won’t sleep with you.
Abbey: Oh, now THAT’S rich!
*Mike throws up his hands in a pacifying gesture.*
Mike: Hey, HEY!! Relax!!
*Yashy looks confused.*
Yashy: …

*Yashy turns to Lucy.*
Yashy: Did I miss something? WHO’S missing?
*Lucy looks lost in thought.*

Author commentary

Veronica: I really love that Daisy predicted EXACTLY what one of her friends would say, I guess it’s a bit of a sad sign that the friend is Paulo! But.. I mean, Abbey cares ;__; Maybe you should care about Abbey more, Daisy.

In the earlier version of this page, Daisy was really mopey and sad, but I really wanted to show off her bitter side in the remake. Daisy is kind of a brat! She’s jealous! Instead of victimising herself tragically, she’s instead very angry and petty! Feels like a much more realistic angle given Daisy’s confidence issues, and while it might turn some people off her, it absolutely endears her to me. Because I’ve totally been there! Many people have!
