It's amazing how expressive Taeshi got with such a simple art style.

This gave me a detailed nostalgiagasm... Which sounds fun but in some circumstances it's rather unpleasant and can even be painful

I personally love the art style from volume one. Like I can't imagine skipping it and starting at volume two, besides the plot points that you'd miss the bigger reason is the comedy. The jokes and chapters written in volume one are still some of my favorites because of how funny they were. Very clever writing went into it and I highly appreciate it.
