Thank you, that was indeed an exercise in "sketchiness". I love such styles too, but have a problem with doing something like that myself
ps i love your textbook sketches, please do more (femmy) David...? ^^'
There's just something about this I have a hard time describing..
The expressions are really well done, just phenomenal.
I love how, if you cover half their face at a time, they are either happy, or sad/upset.
Yet at the same time, it doesn't clash like you think it would with two opposite expressions..
Instead, it's just smooth. Love it.
The expressions also tell of their past, and you can kind of see what they've been through.
You're really good at portraying that, for sure.
Man, the longer I look at it, the more I see in it.
This has some intense depth to it.
Careful, Mike. These waters be a tad deep for you.
I really love this. Two misfits. Two outcasts. With no one to love. Not even themselves. I never really thought of Augustus and Lucy as a pair, just two souls dealt similar hands. If anything an unexpected can-relate-to-you type of friendship. This artwork to me portrays just that perfectly.

I really like your style, the almost sketchiness of it gives it such a great texture!!
