Mousecat- Thank you for the constructive critisicm. The way you took time to carefully outline the problems, and even suggested ways to improve was very helpful! Your correct use of grammar helped me to quickly understand what you were saying. Most importantly, you were courteous. I'm very grateful for your input.

/wait/

Yes, the markers got messed up. I knew that before I posted it, but I figured it was okay anyway.

Wow. Way to be an ass, Meeps. It's kind of obvious why you coloured it badly, but allow me to explain it to you because it seems you didn't get it. (And if you DIDN'T you should just ask for an explanation rather than get all bitchy)

You should never, NEVER, colour a picture by just.. moving the marker any which way. Moving the marker side to side, then up and down, the diagonally, will leave traces of how you did it so that people can see the messy way you did it.

One method of colouring is to pick a side and DON'T CHANGE. If you're colouring from left to right, you do it the entire way. There might be some streaks of left to right, it's not ideal, but at least it's consistent.

You can also colour based on the shape of the object. So following the curve of the character, etc.

Now here's a method of colouring I often use, and probably something that looks great if pulled out well:

You colour in circles.

So you start by swirling your marker in a circle and slowly going around the picture that way. It's a very tedious method, but it gets the job done, and it's a method that most commonly leaves no streaks if performed well. I tend to combine colouring in circles with colouring via the shape of the object, so I'll slowly go down an arm for example in a circley, but curved way.

...I couldn't think of anything encouraging to say. But you, don't say 'the markers got messed up' it wasn't the fault of the tools. You messed up with the markers.

The three fingers and one thumb hand style is common and accepted. But that kind of black marker is not used for inking lines.

The booru is a terrible place to ask for criticism to begin with. It didn't help that the artist comment of yours does not scream 'Please criticize this!'.

I can't say much for my sentence structures, but Prescriptive Grammar shouldn't be used in an informal setting. People understand my type of Descriptive Grammar just fine.

@Taeshi- Thank you for the instructions :)I really am grateful.
Although I feel like my comment wasn't strong enough to deserve name-calling.

@Mousecat- I meant that the markering I did was messed up, but I see how you could think I meant the tools.
