Veronica’s Commentary

This relatively dark “Confrontation” storyline was covered early on. It ended up meaning a lot to Mike and Lucy…

The reason Mike still has some of my respect: Mike helped Lucy take down this creep tag team style, heh. I still keep getting the feeling that we haven’t seen the last of him though who knows we might see that creep again soon (-.-). If Mike and Lucy had a common enemy again then they could hopefully let out all their pent up rage on him. I can see Alejandro but where is his partner in crime, Tobi(you know that dog)?

I think she said ‘blubbering babies’ because she’s the only one that made a stand and kept to it. Sue was done at the first hit, Paulo when he got barked at and Daisy didn’t even attempt. She stood alone and even as she was being choked or about to be raped they still stayed back, aside from Mike when he picked himself up.

So it’s not so much they were all in equal danger, it was just that she was the only one to do anything about it and keep at it. Does seem kind of odd she target Paulo there though. But really this chapter is just a big review for the whole book. Basically you can buy the second one without needing the first and know the important stuff.

My memory of this moment was pretty fuzzy till now (well I was pretty disturbed by the whole event when I had first watched it so I was not so hot on remembering it that much) so I compleaty forgot how everyone had pretty much “stood back” when Lucy was assulted like that.

So back then it really did make a huge effect when Mike (who was drunk off his tail at the time) was the only one who stood up for Lucy and the thugs alongside her, truely a sign of how much she meant to him back then when he was ready to stand up for her and watch her back (even when he’s drunk)

Makes me wonder if he’d still do the same in current events.
