Riverwing, mike isn’t afraid of heights, he just climbed a freaking mountain with them…
he looked down and saw a raging river, lucy fears water because of her and mike almost dying from it long ago.
he’s trying to keep lucy’s attention away from the water below so she doesn’t faint and fall to her death.
mike is a pure hearted young man, and loves her dearly, protects her the best he can, paulo is ****.

How does this match up with what he’s saying right now? Apparently he was only ever nice to Lucy because he thought everyone would hate him if he wasn’t, but now he shows genuine concern for her and he has no reason to.
