*Lucy, her tongue poking out, grabs the power cord in her fist and yanks it out of the outlet.*
Lucy (thinking): Hmph! Success!
*Lucy grins, triumphant. She puts one hand on the desk as she pops up from under it to check the screen.*
*Lucy sways backward, staring at the screen with huge, horrified eyes.*
*Lucy falls backward with a “fwoomp”.*
*Lucy sits upright. She gingerly holds her head and winces.*
Lucy: I pulled the cord and it’s STILL on the screen?!
*Lucy slouches in defeat and sighs.*
Lucy: This computer is pure evil..
*Yashy and Chirpy talk off-panel. Lucy looks up, panicked and blushing.*
Yashy: You know what, Chirps?
Chirpy: Yeah?
Lucy: !
*Lucy faces the doorway with her hair standing on end. Yashy and Chirpy’s voices float through the doorway.*
Yashy: I feel like walking into the next room.
Chirpy: Why?
*Lucy, cheeks puffed out, looks like she’s holding her breath. She clutches her hands together in front of her.*
Yashy: I don’t know.. Think it’d be suspenseful!
Chirpy: Oh..
*Lucy looks around the room frantically.*
Lucy: Quilts.. quilts..
*Lucy holds one hand to her mouth and the other to the top of her head, trying to recall where they are.*
Lucy: !!
*Lucy remembers something from earlier that day. In Lucy’s memory, her mom strolls by in the background. She’s carrying a load of laundry.*
Lucy’s mom: Lucy, sweetie?
*Lucy, in the foreground, looks uninterested.*
Lucy: Yeah?
*Lucy’s mom smiles at her.*
Lucy’s mom: I’m gonna wash all these old quilts, okay?
Lucy: Sure!
*Lucy’s mom smiles sweetly at Lucy.*
Lucy’s Mom: Oh! And did you need that beach towel?
Lucy: Nah.
Lucy’s Mom: Okay! No harm in washing it too! ♥
Lucy: You’re the boss!
*The memory ends. Back in the present, Lucy puts her hand on her mouth as she continues to think.*
Lucy: Drat..
*Yashy’s voice comes from off-panel.*
Yashy: Oh boy! I do love to make a grand entrance!
*Lucy panics.*
Lucy: No!!
*Yashy and Chirpy, smiling happily, appear in the doorway.*
Yashy: Here I come!
*Yashy and Chirpy skid to a halt. They look up, confused.*
Yashy: Eh?
*Lucy is sitting on the desk. She’s positioned directly in front of the computer screen, blocking it. Lucy smiles sheepishly and waves at them.*
Lucy: Hiiii guys~!

I think this is my favorite side series because Lucy has a lot more expressions than normal.
