Wow, first time we’ve seen her cling onto somebody besides her pets for an extended period of time, and no, that previous hug and kiss do not count. And the huge emotional trauma is causing her to cry from guilt. If they don’t find her, I don’t think she’ll ever truly recover

Yikes. Considering how strongly Mike’s previous near-death experience affected Lucy (i.e. her near hysteria when Mike was drowning, and her attempt at CPR with the impassioned “YOU CAN’T LEAVE ME!”), I have to say that this meltdown is completely believable. She believes that the water finally took Mike from her, and … the visuals above say more than my words can.

That said, I would have no idea how to comfort her if I was in that situation….
