First things first; I must read the chapter title and spend valuable time trying to figure out what will happen.

Perhaps it’s Mike or Sue calling her. Lucy and Mike are both the leads in Sue’s play and they need to practice.

I notice that the alarm clock is making the right noise this time around.

@MiwAuturu: Perhaps she’s got a big cliffhanger at the end. With 10 pages to go, that drops the last episode on a Friday. Which makes sense.

Wow, I hadn’t realized that the ringing digital alarm clock was such a popular character. Or that everyone would comment on it. The old one did make more sense than the beeping analogue clock, since some digital clocks allow the user to set what sounds play. Anyway, enough with this pointless line of thought.

Lookin’ forward to the Souppy Script. I cannot recall if he has done entire storylines before. I suppose there’s not a ton to actually comment about regarding the strip itself. I don’t even know what time it is that Lucy set her alarm to, since the first digit was cut off, heh heh. But she has a Sony clock. Surely that is a relevant clue. And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a character take a shower, but it suddenly occurs to me that in “real life” (note the quotes), it would have to be a huge pain for a cat or dog person to bathe, considering all that fur they would have to dry.

Also, since it looks like this arc will be 11 pages long, starting on Wednesday means it will end on a Friday. I guess that’s nice and symmetrical or something. (Edit: Beaten by Yappy.) So, c’mon Lucy, let the emo consume you, and join … um … actually, I’m not sure if there’s a character in the comic more emo than you. In fact, you’re probably the Emperor to Mike’s Vader. Hrm.

ok I am loving this scene,it has lucy being angst and to me…the over all page seems less crowded then usaul plus the blue fits the modd of the scene perfectly

course she’s being emo lol, she doesn’t have paulo or mike anymore, plus on top of that she has to deal with sue forcing her to be in the play, only way it could get worse is if sandy showed up lol

So, i recently have light again due to the shortage caused by Hurricane Alex…it’s a mess on my state right now (and my community is the most affected, by luck my neighborhood is not..but without water and gas it’s difficult) Well…at least i have BCB to cheer me up ^^.

Actually, I don’t understand something about the incentive comic. In one of the last panels, Lucy is about to say something to Molly, then she spots something that looks like a present on the dresser (or bureau, or desk; can’t really tell) and does a facepalm motion. What is that object?

Maybe she has some rehearsing to do :3

I’m confused now. Somewhere along in the incentive, I got the idea that it was Molly’s birthday.

Sigh…more teasing with lucy…we want sandy to show so that she and lucy can settle things once and for all, hopefully sandy will end up hurt i suppose, or sandy comes back to say that she has settled with someone else and in that she sees lucy’s feelings and she tells her situation to mike with the excuse that there’s someone else who loves him, someone who always did :o that would be epic…

I personally like the story line to go slow, it allows time for the story to develop, and it allows the reader time to think of possibilties, and then those are compared to that artist future representation

Today is Thursday, and in today’s incentive comic Abbey is holding … a cookie? I approve. Lucy finally starts to sing, and I cannot wait to see how Molly will react.

Just finished reading the archive from the start and I gotta say, I loved it. Can’t wait for more. Just thought I’d say I loved it. Also, BLUUUUE WAKE UP SCENES. There’s alot of them XD

OMG i read the whole comic within 2 days…. its nearl 900 pages if im right (maybe not i didnt count it) its gonna be so fu**ing hard to wait for the next page…

For a minute there I thought that was Mike o.o Lol

I’m wondering if this isn’t Sandy, yaknow. I’ve looked at it a couple of times, and was browsing through the comments, when somebody made that suggestion. So. I thought about it. And now I will compile my evidence for why I now think it might be Sandy.

When I first saw it, I saw the white fur and Lucy’s poofy tail in the third panel. However, Sandy also has white fur, and whilst I can’t argue much with the poofy tail, in the same picture the hair and cheek fluff associated with Lucy is absent. Then in the prior frames we do indeed have a bleeping clock, and as many people have noted clocks in BCB Riii~ng~! That might be an implication this is a wake-up sequence for someone we haven’t seen before.

A side note is ‘Where is Lily?’ — Lily sleeps on Lucy’s bed, but is not present here. And I’m willing to bet Chirpy and Yashy aren’t far behind in the mornings, yet they’re not.

Next, the sixth panel. This one shows no hair, which if it did have hair, would imply Sandy, but the picture is hazed. I guess because she’s having a shower. This is another nod towards Lucy, in my opinion, but may also be simple identity-cover. The remaining panels cover the ears and head, or simply don’t show it. Leaving it ambiguous.

Next we have the actual title, and the dialogue; The dialogue implies business. Now, Lucy seems to get up on her own, and if yelling is required, Yashy or Lily would be speaking it. Now, it scarcely sounds like Yashy, and as for Lily, it implies business; question, where was Lily earlier? What has Lucy to do today? We’ve been following Lucy pretty closely, and aside from the play, she’s pretty much free as a bird (save for drama).

Now, from Sandy’s perspective, she’s a model, she’s too busy to be on the phone to her boyfriend, or visit him, or even be around when he scrounges a flight to her. She is very busy, which fits with the dialogue. This ties in with the title; Sandy has to get to the top of her career track, and this is hard-work.

Also, Sandy is not a bad person per say. Daisy believes Sandy uses people, for example, but I don’t think she is a villain, at least not from what we’ve gathered. Now, if Sandy is a character and not necessarily a villain, it makes sense for Taeshi to show us the issues in Sandy’s life. Such as her work. Whilst, we, from Lucy’s perspective and occasionally Daisy’s memories, have an instinct to assume Sandy is nothing but a obstacle to the Lucy/Mike goodness, this isn’t necessarily the case at all.

After all, from Mike’s view, Lucy is an over-dependent bucket of need. But from ours, Lucy adores Michael and cannot express it easily. Me? I have friends who I would curl into a little ball if I thought they were dead, and it’s more about loss. As for the Paulo thing, if we recall from Lucy’s inner-dialogue, she believes Mike hates her and will do anything to keep Paulo’s affection rather than lose another person. It’s not so much a rebound thing, so much as ‘don’t hate me too’.

So, from one perspective, Lucy’s not good, but from ours, Lucy is good. Similar mojo with Sandy.

But but but, in long and short (not so much of the latter), I reckon this here is Sandy-Sandy-Sandradee~

Yeah, I thought about that too…Not to mention all the beauty products shown in the last panel, and the fancy looking painting in the next-to-last.

Suitcase also made the comment that he needed to get Taeshi to fix Lucy’s clock, as if it wasn’t already.
