i wanted to reveal McCain's sweeter side and also reveal that the reason he never outright revealed his love was because he was scared he couldnt do it, which is the problem most men face with girls.

The script was hell to come up with, and i know it is not their nature to do thigns like that. however, i tried to convey that Sue intentionally made McCain say it by pretending to be really upset. (first two panels, she has idea) but i didnt want to actually SAY it, that would be dumb.
And i also know its not McCain's thing to be sweet or scared. However, he would react with a lot of surprise if Sue were to come up to him with that question, and have to answer it outright if he didnt want to hurt her feelings (which, was the point of Sue pretending to be really upset, to make him say it) I WAS originally going to have McCain realise Sue was faking it, and say 'its not fair' but it didnt quite fit in...
if i make another one i'l do better. this was my first time at anything sweet: most of my drawings are dark or gory or dramatic or "steampunk" with no script at all, so this was a huge stretch for me.
Oh and also, no matter how non-whiny girls get, they KNOW that they got you where they want you when they start crying (even if it isnt real) which annoys me to no end ¬_¬

But that's not McCain's personality.
Nor is it Sue's to whine like that. This is why they're great together, Sue and McCain have no drama hang-ups, no dark past, no paranoia, nothing.
I suppose Sue might wish once in a while McCain do something more romantic, but she wouldn't cry about it.
