Actually, you have the right idea with the scribbly things, just not the execution. It seems you're working on the same principle of contrast used in charcoal drawings, where blending into a background makes the focus of the image "pop," so to speak. I could go on, but I really think you should seek instruction from an art teacher. You have incredible potential for someone of your age, and should seriously consider experimenting with charcoal. If you have time after school or what not, see if you can take extra time to develop your art with your art teacher, assuming there is one at your school. Assuming you go to school.
