I just want Mike to be able to forgive himself and see that maybe his feelings for her well being arn't needed. He has his own issues do deal with rather than focus on others.
Even when you know you did nothing wrong, guilt can weigh heavily. Even if you know it was inevitable, some things you can never prepare for. For instance, Abbey knows he is not to blame for the fight that killed his mother, but the nagging feeling of "I could have prevented it by staying quiet." lingers. Even though it's irrational and he can't be blamed for it (after all, how could he know what would happen), the difference between knowing and feeling is huge, and the gap is no bigger than grieving. And you don't even need a death for grieving to happen.
Though not letting your problems become other people's problems is usually the very thing that seals the fate of a lot of people suffering from Depression. Some battles must be fought alongside support, and they are battles, complete with defeat meaning death.
The other thing is, you can never not make your problems someone else's. It's not even whether you should. You physically can't. People worry if you say nothing. And it will certainly be their problem if there's a death. Making it someone else'sp problem too is inevitable. Might as well make the reason be because you talked about it so at least there's a way out where everyone lives.
Paulo's problem with barking is because he tried to be a "bad kid" to impress or be liked by Lucy when they were like in 5th grade. He made like a deal with some gangstas, and then "betrailed" them, so they got mad, and started barking and traumatizing him.
But he IS wearing his bleu scarf in this, that means it's sandys because he knows that when he wears it he's not a bitch to Lucy so he either has orange and red scarf on if he's with sandy or the blue scarf on if he's with Lucy...duh (' )_(' )

maybe this will help you remember:
"Anyway, this cake is great:
It's so delicious and moist.
Look at me still talking when there's science to do.
When I look out there it makes me GLaD I'm not you.
I've experiments to run there is research to be done
On the people who are still alive"
Except in the two newest pages, it hasn't just been affectionate hitting. Lucy kicked Mike in the shin so hard he could barely stand up and tried to slap him over a video game. So, yes, assault. I don't see that being "cute" in any way.

What if Mike fully let go and didn't feel guilty?
