I got around this by thinking if a BROWN bear. I mean sure, fir some reason it was in Antartica (bears don’t live there) but it WASN’T a polar bear.

Got nostalgic and decided to read through some of the previous chapters. What a change things have taken, it seems most of these comments center around the humorous aspects of this page.
However, in light of current events, it’s curious and amusing to see that Mike was actually daydreaming about Lucy. I wonder what the daydream might have escalated to, if the thought “fur” didn’t trigger his correlation with “bear”. I think it’s also significant that Mike actually did have feelings for Lucy at one time. Who knows, maybe he still secretly does (plot twist!).
