I read it more as, “God, sucks”, like “My god, this quickly-drawn David that I put here to take up space sure sucks.” Nothing religious.

Tess looks particularly pretty in the end of this comic.. and yeah, this comic not only serves as a better version of the flashback comics, but it introduces Mike’s new scarf!
One thing I need to mention that I’m sure people have wondered.. why on earth do I still draw Mike with his blue scarf in other drawings? Well.. whenever I draw concept doodles of the character or when I draw Mike “out of the continuity”.. he will always have his blue scarf. It’s a bit of an acquired characteristic.. but when I’m drawing him in the story or coloring a comic that’s within the storyline, he will have the striped scarf. The true reasoning to it will be revealed soon enough.. it’s just one of those special mysteries for now.
The end was just me being an angsty whiner since I was feeling a bit annoyed at the time.. and I didn’t want people being all “LOL I SEE ANGST IN THIS COMIC” like captain obviouses.. hence why I drew Kizuna and David. Sorry about that, it was kind of stupid of me to do and kind of ruins the end of the comic.. but yeah ;.; I CAN BE AN IDIOT SOMETIMES. “GOD SUCKS” in the final panel isn’t meant to be.. like.. me saying that God sucks.. more saying “GOD THIS SUCKS”.. I hope that’s understandable.. but I always look at that panel and keep hoping people don’t think I’m some sort of atheist or something!

I actually like the mix of slightly-over-the-top teenage angst and David-esque innocent/ignorant idiocy. Reading back over that, I realise I sound more and more like Abbey each day
