I’ve never imagined Lucy actually dating someone. In my head, it’s usually just that she’s really good friends with both Paulo and Mike. I don’t know about boyfriends but I think what Lucy really needs in life is a good, strong friend to lean on.
Hm, let’s see, Mike was the only one who put up with her for a while. In fact, old Lucy was less angsty and committed slightly less abusive acts towards Mike. Then came Sandy.
My theory: Lucy lost Mike to Sandy and for a moment, realized that Mike would not always be with her. After that, Lucy grew a cold shoulder towards Mike that she sometimes hid when she realized how good of a friend he is. Otherwise, Lucy is just trying to protect herself from the awful feeling that could come the day she finally loses Mike
