Well, I’ve finally relized something after looking back a few comics ago and looking at this page here. It appears Lucy’s dream had come true. How should I explain this… Hmm.

Lucy dremt that she was chasing after Mike, meaning she was ambitious and determined to express her feelings to him. She even jumped off a cliff, which means she is taking a risk despite any hardships. The lake she fell into with Mike stands for her spirtuallity and emotional state of mind.

Finally, there’s the thing with Sandy. Sandy is Lucy’s main obstacle, and in the end, Lucy is drowned by her in the dream while Mike sits around and does nothing… Not to mention the color of his scarf changes.

And what with the whole chasing after him after the dream ended and trying so hard to tell him the truth, Lucy was literally drowned by her emotions, just like in the dream.

Kinda bummer… isn’t it?

Stupid Mike. Breaking her heart. Sandy probably doesn’t even like him anymore. Don’t worry Lucy; cuz he’ll be back.

I just noticed Panel 7 is a flashback.
