Was just taking a trip down memory lane in some early chapters, and thought to myself, “Whatever happened to all of those other people Lucy lived with?” I remembered that in her more desperate hours, they served as her buffer against loneliness, and in addition they always gave her a more benign dimension. I really missed that intricate aspect of Lucy’s existence, and thus, I’m happy to once again see Lily.

On a different note, I’m psyched for the reveal of who had such dead-on, interruptive snowball accuracy!

Calling it right now I say that was David throwing the snowball. I’m pretty sure lily wouldn’t lie about Lucys bad feels, and I bet jasmine is too busy to just be walking around for no reason. Personally, I think Yashi was the one who threw the snowball at him… It would be a little too obvious (and kinda cliche really) if Jasmine just so happened to be passing by JUST as Paulo arrives at Lucy’s house. It’s just too improbable. At the very least I hope it’s not Jasmine, for that very reason. I also don’t think it’s Lucy either. Something tells me she isn’t in the mood to play in the snow. ^^; but we shall see.

I’m glad to know Lucy has her pets, especially Lily, to take care of her and love her whilst shes obviously in a depressive state. Although I wish Lily would allow Paulo to see her, I’m sure he could boost her mood so much.

Her and all the other pets have been gone for a long while, to the point I started to worry if they’d been retconned out of the series.

I was weirded out by the new art style at first, but I think I’m finally used to it.

Wow, haven’t seen lily in a while, glad to see she didn’t have chuck cunningham syndrome.

That said, point one, i’m 90% sure it’s yashi who threw the snowball, it makes sense from a character/story structure standpoint. But i will give that, while random, it could be Jazmine in the 10%. She could have seen Paulo on his walk and has been trying to get his attention, hince the snowball to the head. Remember Paulo’s head has been in the clouds (or the gutter, depending on how you look at it) for a while.

As for point two, why haven’t people considered that maybe lucy really doesn’t want to see anyone right now? I highly doubt lily would keep anyone from seeing lucy if she wanted to see others. That said it might be for the best, since, if lucy is emotionally frail right now, contact with others may do more harm than good. For example, she could interpret the actions of others the wrong way and/or be vulnerable to angry outbursts which could damage her relations to the others, etc.

I also honestly hope Paulo insists on seeing Lucy. Her negative thoughts will probably worsen until someone actually goes to see her and dismisses them because at the moment she probably thinks everyone hates her like Mike does and that she is better shutting herself away in her room forever because she is a ‘parasite’. Paulo is the most likely to instantly express rage at the idea of her being a parasite and to tell her honestly that she isn’t and that he will always be there for her and that several of their other friends would be too.

Wow… It has been a LONG time since I last commented. Anyway, I just hope this isn’t a teaser chapter. What I mean is, I don’t want Paulo to be distracted from delivering the present for the whole chapter. All I’m saying is that I want Lucy to tell Paulo what Mike said to her. It wouldn’t just make for a nice dramatic clash between Paulo and Mike, but an interesting debate on if Mike deserves a beat-down for what he said to Lucy.

The Guy Nobody Knows, yeah, I think that would make an interesting plot whatchamacallit too. And the the artistic style used in the chapter definitely leans more to drama than comedy, in my opinion. Although another idea is that there is no immediate beat down, rather it’s kept building up inside and someone spills the beans to everyone at some later point; I’ve seen that done before in other comics and novels.

Hmm… an interesting plot twist ^_^ I don’t know how I feel about Paulo and Lucy, as he seems like a bit more of a playboy, and Lucy just needs someone… down to earth? Can’t blame Mike entirely, though. I know what it’s like to have that dream girl right there, and have her slip out of your grasp after so long.

And I just thought about it, it just might be Mike. He’s still having idendity issues about who he wants. He insists on Sandy, but… I just can’t see Mike being with anyone but Lucy. They just make too cute of a couple
