I’m am SO pleased Lucy called him! The fact that she can pick up the phone and make conversation and eat cake shows that she’s not a useless broken mess. God, I just squee-ed so hard at this page.. my support for this couple will forever be unrelenting. The thing is, you see how Paulo is making this effort to make her happy? Yes, sure, he has those sexual feelings, but he also cares about her well being, and that is the perfect combination for a relationship <3 In the next few pages, I want Lucy to tell him her issues at the moment, but to also say she’s getting over it, she’s getting better. But hey, who knows what will happen with Taeshi running the show hope it’s good though~
I love Paulo’s face in the last panel he looks so bashful!

While it is a big step that Lucy is talking to Paulo here (I honestly think Paulo’s the best guy for Lucy at this point. Then again, I never really believed Mike would become that guy.) we should still be concerned over one fairly important factor:
We’re still not seeing Lucy’s expression to all this.
It is a bit concerning as to whether what she’s speaking to Paulo is true or just falsehood. While we can assume it’s most likely true, I predict the artist will reveal it next.

I’m really glad to see that Lucy is talking and eating cake, that’s showing some progress. I found that when I was depressed I’d not be willing to do anything, including eating cake or talk to friends. I think shes making progress and I’m really glad.
