It's kinda funny that nobody ever noticed how funny it is that the two main characters are actually also two (quite important) characters from the bible.
I mean the archangel Michael and Lucifer (lucy) the fallen archangel. I think Mike and Lucy just fit perfectly in their roles.

If it weren't for the bible reference this would be perfect.

Simply because I don't like to bring religion into things.

Nevertheless, I happen to agree somewhat. Nice artwork, at any rate.

Heh. People so love to be 100% with how they see things. Lucy isn't evil and Mike isn't perfectly good. They're cats with qualities of both.

Someone should draw the BCB characters in generic political positions. It can only go down from here.

The interpretation is silly, but the drawing is totally badass!

This looks great! You should have drawn Lucy as a dragon though, to go with the "Archangel Michael kills the devil in form of dragon with a spear" clasical paintings. (and no i'm NOT confusing it with saint george, Michael killed a dragon, too.)

I don't get you arty types, and having to deconstruct things when there's really no point. Anyway, this is pretty damn well drawn, but I'm wondering where any sign of Lucy's namesake is.

Just get past the fact that it's not what you believe and appreciate the art. I am a Christian, and while I should care for your opinions on my faith, I don't (well I do), because it's your opinion, not mine.

Kiryava, I'm not actually sure if you are religious or not (you presumably are from the reference, but if your not I would understand your interest in this subject) but no matter what stance you have on life, you can express your ideas and personal interests through your kick-ass art. And I like it.

So let's all say wow that's amazing

I couldn't have said it better! I fully agree with you but I do understand that there are people who won't want such a serious topic as religion in such a lighthearted comic as BCB, and I think that's ok. I really don't want to insult someone.
Though I'm religious I thought of this picture more as a crossover or something like that.
And I agree with cake, too.

I just noticed the epicness of the scarf behind mike now that i look at the drawing again. Well done man, this is definatelly epic, and a keeper!

anatomy,face,measures,scale,everything.... almost perfect, expressions and body language has been shown in an utmost spectacular way!!! the sword and dagger needs a bit work...the flames actually look like flames...shading is ABSOLUTELY AMAZİNG...the scarf and bow....the fur on mikes chest and feathers...just.... loooove it!!! :3 great job!!

I actually enjoy this picture even more due to the religious allegory. Even though people derive both positive and negative connotations about the Bible, it's still a key piece of literature because humankind has been greatly influenced by it. Many pieces of art and stories have been inspired by the numerous accounts and teachings of the Bible. It's one of those books that people will reference in their works, so it helps to know where the inspiration came from to gain further insight.
