*Lucy holds the letter from Tess, frowning down at it.*
Lucy: …

*Lucy looks up, still holding the letter.*

*Lucy gazes thoughtfully into the distance.*
Lucy: Hm.

*The scene transitions to Mike’s house. He walks past a table that has a lamp and a phone on it. Mike glances at the phone as it rings loudly.*

*Mike picks up the receiver, smiling politely.*
Mike: Hello? Mike speaking..

*Mike looks stricken as Lucy’s voice comes through the phone.*
Lucy: I know it’s you, idiot.

*Mike looks down with an anxious smile.*
Mike: Oh, err.. Hi, Lucy.
*Lucy leans back in her chair, holding her cordless phone to her ear. She glances into the distance.*
Lucy: Did you get Tess’ letter?
*Mike tucks one hand behind his back and starts sweating.*
Mike: Ah, yeah.

*Lucy continues to talk to Mike on the phone.*
Mike: I’m not going.
*Lucy glances away, surprised. She holds the phone away from her ear.*
Lucy: ..! Really? Why not?

*Mike smiles nervously.*
Mike: Well.. I just thought it’d be weird going on a big trip like this when I could probably try to see Sandy over the break.. I’m sure she’d find it a little strange if I flew somewhere with a bunch of girls. So I just told Tess--
*Mike glances away as the doorbell rings.*

*Lucy looks surprised as she listens to Mike.*
Mike: Oh! Someone’s at the door. Gotta go.

*Lucy looks away with a neutral expression.*
Lucy: Bye then.

*Lucy frowns unhappily as Mike hangs up. She holds the phone to her chest.*
Lucy: …

*Lucy dials a new number. The phone rings.*

Tess: Hello?
Lucy: Tess? It’s me.

*Lucy stares into the distance, frowning slightly. She holds the phone close to her ear.*
Lucy: I’m not going.
