Sure, I’m not saying that he should magically forget Sandy and get together with Lucy, but if he was still that nice guy he used to be, he wouldn’t have crushed Lucy like that. I have to say again I love the color transitions, it’s a very nice touch(especially the text!). I also enjoy how you started with it and ended with it on this page, too. I like the first and last few panels. You can definitely tell how “out-of-it” Lucy is with her expressions. Smart move going with what Souppy suggested, Paulo screaming and pushing away would have been too much I feel for this situation.

On the case of Mike, it’s how you interpret it.
On one side, Mike dumped Lucy in favor of Sandy, even if everyone else would rather have Mike to at least give sympathy to Lucy. (hence selfishness)
On the other, Mike reconizes that Lucy needs to get over him so she doesn’t become a bigger wreak than she is now. (incase something did happen to Mike)

Honestly I feel it was necessary for Mike to be as “harsh” to Lucy as he was(though I really don’t think it was nearly as bad as everyone is making it seem!). If he had been overly nice about it I feel like it wouldn’t have gotten his point through to Lucy like it truly needed to be. He needed to step his foot down on the whole situation since it’d be mixed up for quite a while, and being nice and rainbow fluffy isn’t really going to get that done. And though I understand Lucy’s reaction I feel it was a bit over dramatic on her part and he had the right to respond how he did, which is causing her to do this now.

Well if my story is anything to go by, this is what will happen, a new person will come back to the place where they live, he will come to see Mike in the night and walk past paulo’s house on the way, he will see everything, then walk to Mikes house, he will tell mike what he was saw then give him a cd and tell him to think of Lucy when he listens to it. Mike will then play to cd and find out its cant fight this feeling, and cry himself to sleep.

Story will be finished soon!!!!

To offer some insight to how Lucy and Mike have been acting, I have some theories… agree or disagree if you will. >.>

For Mike, He’s finally growing a pair and standing up for what he really wants in life. Anyone with a normal psyche and a good conscience will recognize that all Lucy wants is affection, and will assert that they don’t want to be unfaithful. So, he told her the truth. She didn’t take it well, and he became aggressive with the answer.

In Lucy’s case, I’ve actually experienced this state of mind myself… it’s really odd, confusing… In her state of mind, Mike REALLY hates her… when he probably actually doesn’t, and is just fed up with her hard-headedness. Y’see, when someone is picked on or bullied when they’re children, it’s hard to be “normal.” You get this little voice in the back of your head that will ALWAYS echo what they told you. Maybe it’ll stop one day, maybe not, but… Uh, anyway. She’s in the state of mind that Mike hates her. And because Paulo has stayed by her side this whole time, she believes he won’t leave her if she gives in and does everything she can to make him happy, even if it means to hurt herself.

OR. Lucy is just trying to hurt herself, intentionally or non. That little voice I spoke about? Is probably telling her that she deserves to be treated badly, because she treated MIKE so badly.

… I’m TOTALLY over-analyzing a COMIC STRIP. >.o

Paulo has to be one of my favorite characters. His development has certain risen far higher then I thought, and it seems he has many growths to go into. The mere fact that he’s one of the more complex characters, with issues surrounding him, makes a compelling story, driven by plot, and of course, humor.

As a final count, you’ve done alot, and I’m happy to say, you’ve definetly earned my stamp of approval. Not very often do I get a Favorite character. That should say tons about your skill.
