I would suppose it makes less sense to think that the glow of the alarm clock dominates the room when a lot of this takes place in the afternoon, but I suppose in editing this I wanted to give the impression of a night dragging on, and I know my memories of sleepovers often involved a lot of dark rooms with glowing clock radios..
