So, the treasurer is an idiot.

First rule of leadership : A lot of smart people turn stupid when following orders. Our society does not teach people to follow and it does not come naturally to most members of a free democratic society.

So don’t be afraid to be explicit in your directions, and this is important, get people to repeat things back to you.

If you do it with a smile on your face and the right tone of voice, nobody will think they are being treated like an idiot.
