*Mike crosses his arms, looking irritated.*
Mike: Anything else, guys?!
Daisy: Ahah.. umm..
Lucy: Oh, I know!

[Caption: Case 1]
*A flashback shows Lucy and Mike sitting beneath a tree together. Mike is smiling. Lucy is glaring at a fly buzzing around.*
Mike: Man, what lovely weather!

*Lucy smacks the fly against the tree. Mike is smiling, eyes closed.*
Mike: What do you think, Lucy?

*Lucy wipes the dead bug on Mike’s scarf. He continues smiling with his eyes closed.*
Lucy: Pretty average, if you ask me..
Mike: That’s what you always say..

[Caption: Case 2]
*The flashback shows Sue and Mike sitting at a lunch table together. Mike is leaning on the table, asleep. Sue is blowing bubbles into her milk.*

*The milk box tips over and spills. Sue looks shocked, the straw still in her mouth.*

*Sue uses Mike’s scarf to mop up the spill. Paulo leans forward, looking incredulous.*
Paulo: What are you, five years old??
*Sue blushes and holds a finger to her mouth.*
Sue: SHHHH!!

[Caption: Case 3]
*The final flashback shows David and Paulo standing together, wearing aprons. David, grinning, balances a beaker on his nose.*
David: Lookee what I can do!
*Paulo laughs.*
Paulo: Haha, better be careful with that, David!

*The beaker falls off David’s nose. Some of the liquid drips on his hand. David flinches, panicked. Paulo pulls away, looking frightened.*
Paulo: OH GOD DON’T INHALE IT!!

*David runs, flailing his arms frantically. He has tears in his eyes.*
David: IT BURNS

*David spots Lucy and Mike sitting at a table working on their assignment. They are wearing goggles and using a beaker.*

*David comes up behind them and thoroughly wipes his hand on Mike’s scarf. Mike squints and sniffs the air.*
Mike: What is that..
*Lucy raises an eyebrow at Mike.*
Lucy: ?

*David smiles, holding up his hand, which is missing fur and smoking slightly.*
David: GOOD AS NEW!!
*Mike falls onto the table, his mouth foaming and his eyes dizzy. Lucy stands up, angrily cursing at Mike.*
Lucy: HEY!! Don’t fall asleep on me!!

[Caption: Case closed]
*The flashbacks end. Back in the present, Mike looks extremely uncomfortable.*
Mike: …

*Lucy wipes her hand on Mike’s tail.*
Lucy: I don’t see why you’re whining. I had to finish that science lab by myself.
*Mike turns to Lucy, furious.*
Mike: I WAS HOSPITALIZED!!

Mike: And stop wiping yourself on me!!
Lucy: I got it all off, anyway.
Mike: I HATE YOU ALL!!
*Daisy smiles nervously, sweating.*
Daisy: Ahaha..

*The gym teacher looks annoyed.*
Gym teacher: Umm.. start running.
*Mike shouts back, looking mad.*
Mike: DON’T MIND IF I DO!!

*Tess and Lucy stand together. Tess looks horrified.*
Tess: I wouldn’t be surprised if he kills you all one day.
*Lucy looks at her clean hand and smiles smugly.*
Lucy: Good as new!

Author commentary

Veronica: Man, Sue, I used to do the same thing.. don’t feel too embarrassed.

It’s funny when you’re just mindlessly doing a repetitive task that is semi-dangerous, like don’t move the carton around with the straw!! It really might fall over!!

Anyway, let’s all hope that Mike doesn’t snap one day and kill everyone because I guess I wouldn’t be able to make this comic anymore!
