*Paulo holds a box in his hands. It reads “Fluffy Love Chocolates” and has a picture of a happy bunny on it.*
Paulo: .. Chocolates?

*David looks wide-eyed at the box. Paulo frowns at it.*
David: Ooh.. I was kinda right!
*Chirpy leans toward Paulo, smiling in excitement.*
Chirpy: Ohh, WOW!!
Paulo: ..?

*Chirpy holds her face with her wings. She’s smiling widely.*
Chirpy: ♥ I just looove chockies! Yer so lucky, Meanie-Kitty! Boy-Doggie knew just what you wanted! ♥

*David and Paulo frown and look down at the chocolates.*
Paulo: .. Did he?

*Chirpy flies off. David and Paulo continue to examine Paulo’s present.*
Chirpy: I’m gonna open my pressie now!!
Paulo: ?

*Paulo narrows his eyes at David.*
Paulo: So you picked these out?
David: Yeah!

*David scowls back at Paulo.*
David: But I got you a magazine, honest!
*Paulo looks on, blankly.*
Paulo: Hm..

*David looks confused. Paulo’s eyes open wide in realization.*
David: Don’t really know where that went.

*Paulo looks horrified.*
Paulo: What were you gonna give Chirpy?!
*David smiles.*
David: Oh! A box of..

*Paulo panics. In the background, David is still innocently finishing his sentence.*
David: .. chocolates?
Paulo: OH GOD CHIRPY!!

*Paulo anxiously spins around to find Chirpy. She sits with her back to him.*
Paulo: DON’T OPEN YER--
Paulo: y-your..

*Chirpy looks up at Paulo with big, worried eyes.*
Chirpy: Hey.. M-Meanie-Kitty..?

*Chirpy holds up a magazine centerfold and shows it to Paulo.*
Chirpy: Is he hurting her?
*Paulo freaks out and tries to get away.*
Paulo: AUGHH
*David looks relieved and points.*
David: There it is!

*Sue and Lucy come into the room carrying a huge two-tier cake with a little cat and bird topper. They’re wearing chef’s hats and smiling happily.*
Sue: Cake’s ready!

*Lucy looks on, confused.*
Lucy: ?

*Paulo, grimacing, pushes Chirpy by the head and yanks the magazine out of her wings.*
Paulo: shhhhhh

*Paulo freezes up, realizing Lucy saw everything.*

*Lucy drops her hands, leaving Sue to be crushed by the birthday cake. Lucy aims a death glare at Paulo.*
Lucy: …
*Sue, barely visible, lies under the remains of the dessert, gritting her teeth.*
Sue: Ughh!!

*Paulo panics.*
Paulo: Erk.. I can explain!!
*Lucy darkly looms forward.*
Lucy: Quick.

*Paulo starts sweating. He smiles confidently at Lucy, who looks skeptical.*
Paulo: I just forgot.. to give her a birthday bash or three! Ha ha!
Lucy: …

*Chirpy raises a wing to her face, trying to understand.*
Chirpy: B.. “Bash?”

*Chirpy shows the centerfold to Lucy. Lucy goes bright red. Paulo dashes away.*
