*Mike glances around the gym.*
Mike: Oh, I forgot we’re done with swimming.
*Katie and Stacy chat happily in the background.*
Katie: Like like like like like like like like

*Mike looks nervous.*
Mike: Which means..
*Lucy appears behind him, waving angrily.*
Lucy: JERK~FACE!!

*Mike smiles nervously over his shoulder at Lucy.*
Mike: Guh.. Hi, Lucy..
*Lucy scowls, crossing her arms.*
Lucy: So.. you think after weeks of swimming you can beat me at anything now?

Lucy: Well.. I’ve had weeks of training, too.
*Lucy confidently taps her forehead.*
Lucy: In the brain.
Mike: ..?

*Lucy looks away and rubs her arm self-consciously.*
Lucy: I’ve actually been doing some thinking.. A lot of things have been on my mind..
*Mike leans toward Lucy, concerned.*
Mike: ..?

*Lucy closes her eyes.*
Lucy: Like about how much I hate you. And how hard I’m gonna beat you now we’re competing again.
*Mike straightens up with a nervous smile.*
Mike: A-haha.. ha..

*Mike frowns.*
Mike: C’mon, why are you always so aggressive?
*Lucy glares at him.*
Lucy: I just wanna wipe that smug look off your face.
Mike: Smug?! Why would you think I’m--

*Paulo appears directly behind Lucy, smiling smugly.*
Paulo: Babe, I’d let you wipe ANYTHING off MY face ♥
*Lucy blushes slightly and frowns, startled.*

*Lucy nonchalantly back-kicks Paulo in the groin. Paulo tenses up with a pained expression, Mike recoils.*

*Lucy walks off. Paulo is shivering in pain, holding himself.*
Lucy: Wasn’t sure I could do it backwards.
*Mike is upset, shivering in sympathy to Paulo’s pain.*
Mike: YOU’RE TERRIBLE!!
Lucy: Oh, suck it up.

*Paulo glares back over his shoulder.*
Paulo: Friggin’ Lucy.. Oww..

*Paulo sees something that distracts him.*
Paulo: .. Eh?

*Tess and Sue stand together, chatting and giggling.*

*Sue walks away laughing. Tess sees Paulo watching her.*

*Paulo looks at Tess with concern.*

*Tess blushes, looking back at him sadly.*
Tess: …

*Paulo, blushing, watches Tess with a worried frown.*
Paulo: Tess..

*David appears next to Paulo.*
David: Yo man, why you eyeing SUE?!
*Paulo, startled, blushes furiously.*
[An arrow, pointed to David: Mood killer]

Author commentary

Veronica: Swimming class has come to a close now.. so Lucy gets to finally return from her little “cage” to torment Mike again. A wonderful, happy reunion!

Lucy’s peppiness is kinda cute, though, like a return to her very old, elementary school form, even if it might not be a form Mike enjoys very much.

Mike gets too much sympathy pain!
