Search Tips Tags with spaces are represented with underscores, so instead of searching for BCB Art Meme, search for BCB_Art_Meme. Actually, they look really young in this picture. This is probably from back in their childhood, before the drowning incident, so Lucy wouldn't be afraid of water.

well Lucy and Paulo did't know each other before the drowning thing and Lucy avoded Paulo after he ran away from her in the flashback in chapter 26, so i'm thinking it's current, comic time.

The timeline is that Paulo transferred during the winter of 5th grade, and the drowning incident happened during the following summer before 6th grade. Lucy never explicitly said that she avoided Paulo after the events of the flashback that you mention.
Given the time-frame there is the possibility of a kiddie-pool-party happening during the time in summer before the drowning incident.

Besides that, their proportions are definitely not those of 14-16 year olds, their heads are more kid-proportioned, and they are kid-sized compared to the pool. And really, what adolescents would be swimming in a KIDDIE-POOL?

P.S: oh my god I just did research to argue a point that I made about the likely time-frame of a piece of fanart for a webcomic about anthropomorphic teenage cat angst.

I made this comic without knowing BCB was around until one of my friends told me that Flower looks like Lucy. After a while of reading BCB, it was a little too late to change Flower's appearance. Now I'm okay with them looking alike and that's why I drew them together here.
