I kinda agree that Mike wears a mask, but only because of all the pressure that is put on him! He's expected to be the kind, sweet, smart boy and the moment he's not people seem to attack him. All that pressure to be what people expect must be very heavy on him and i feel he probably bottles it all up and when something finally makes him snap he lets all of it out :C

I reeeally love the expressions on both of these. Mike generally is a sweetheart, I think, but people tend to take advantage of patient people like him. He's let people walk all over him because he doesn't want to cause conflict, but he's bound to get sick of it eventually, and we've seen the result of that.
