*Daisy, Mike and Lucy look up at the screen, emotionally moved.*
Soldier: Please don’t die, my beloved..
Maria: But.. I’ve been shot in the face..

*David happily munches on popcorn while Paulo is holding back tears.*
Soldier: We can still heal you.. with.. with the power of love..
Paulo: Don’t cry Don’t cry

*Lucy is looking at the screen intently.*
Maria: At least I have enough time to tell you that I’m sorry.. I’ve loved you all this time and it only took me until I was shot in the face to tell you!!

*Lucy looks down, shaking.*
Maria: I was only a jerk to you because of how I felt, and now it’s too laaate
Soldier: NOOOO!!!

*The soldier holds Maria in his arms as she dies.*
Soldier: NOOOOOO!! Mariaaaa!!

*The screen reads ‘Fin’.*

[Caption: Later]
*Daisy wails.*
Daisy: Waughh!! That was so sad!!

*Daisy rubs her eyes. David is indifferent.*
Mike: If you set aside all the plot holes and predictable twists, I guess it wasn’t too bad.
*Lucy looks to the side, upset.*

*Paulo holds back his emotions, as Daisy looks up from her tears, noticing his expression. Mike blabbers on about the movie in the background.*

Daisy: Paulo? Why are you cry--
*Paulo snaps, yelling at Daisy with tears in his eyes.*
Paulo: WHO IS CRYING?!

*Paulo turns away.*
Paulo: What an idiot! That dumb girl was NOT worth crying about!!

*Mike smugly smiles at Paulo.*
Mike: Showing a bit of your sensitive side, Paulo?
Paulo: SHUTTUP!!

Daisy: Look, can we make a trade?
*Paulo crosses his arms and turns his back to Daisy.*
Paulo: Trade what?

Daisy: I’ll forget allll about your emotional reaction to the movie if you tell me why you were so startled over the popcorn!

Daisy: I mean.. David’s not really that frightening.. so what happened?
*David yells from the background.*
David: HEY!!

*Paulo leans in close to Daisy.*
Paulo: I’m not telling.

*Paulo turns his back once more, as Daisy waves her hands in the air.*
Daisy: Please tell me! I wanna knooow!
Paulo: No.

Mike: Hey, Daisy’s found a new fixation!
*Lucy wipes her tears away.*

Author commentary

Veronica: I really love how Mike is actively trying to have an intelligent conversation about this stupid-ass movie while everyone else ignores the hell out of him. Even DAISY is ignoring him when it’s totally her jam to talk tons about a movie after seeing it!

I guess she and Mike were about to have a conversation until she noticed Paulo dwelling on the “deep” storyline.
