*Lucy gives Daisy an unamused look as the they walk with Mike.*

*Lucy losses her footing, flailing her arms for balance.*
Lucy: Yeeek!! Yeeek!!

*Mike grabs Lucy, steadying her.*
Daisy: Be careful!

*Lucy holds her arms out as she tries to regain her footing.*
Lucy: How can I if the ground’s frozen?!

*Yashy glides past, surprising everyone.*
Yashy: Whooo! I’m an ice skater!

[A light bulb appears beside Lucy’s head.]
Lucy: Hmm..

*Lucy skates away, leaving Daisy and Mike behind.*

*Daisy glances at Mike.*
Daisy: …

*Daisy pretends to lose her balance as Mike turns to her.*
Daisy: Oh no!! I’m slipping!!
Mike: I’ll save you!

[Lucy skates for several panels, speeding past Yashy, turning back to wave before dropping to her knee and striking a pose.]

Lucy: TAH~DAHHH!!

*Lucy slides to a stop, surprised to find herself in front of a teacher.*

*Lucy grabs her ankle and fakes a pained look.*
Lucy: Oww, oww! I twisted my ankle! Better go home to let it heal!
Poodle teacher: Very funny. My classroom. NOW.

Veronica: This page was based off of an old comic I wrote long long ago, before “Bittersweet Candy Bowl” was a thing. I wanted to draw Lucy doing more stunts, but had limited space to do it, here.

Sadly, Lucy never got the wonderful snow day she wanted ;__; Better luck next time!

9th panel made me laugh. Ah, Daisy. You’ll do anything for Mike’s attention, won’t you?

And man, ice skating seems so much fun. Just wish I had balance.

And Lucy is busted, by a teacher no less. LOL

I personally love this page. Perhaps more than any other page, at all. Also, I think Lucy’s personality here is great: fun-loving, a bit show-offy, and confident. You made great characters, and this is a great moment!
