That character that Mike passes in the recent page caught my attention, so I drew him!

I have no idea if he's a dog or cat, so I made sure to draw him with a floppy ear!

Saw this challenge and thought it'd be really fun!! Ironically, I was already in the process of doodling the main four as I first saw it. If it wasn't obvious drawing humans is much more my comfort zone ahaha

oh also this is prompt #1: the main four! I know it could technically double as 14 but I'm trying to go in order, so saving that one for later

I’m ready for the Gay Lucy arc

Some of my favorite pages have been the ones with all of Mike's memories of Lucy through the years, so I tried to make one from Lucy's perspective that also captures the INCREDIBLE EMOTIONAL WHIP LASH these last few pages have given me.

Was honestly kind of expecting something like this on the next page, but luckily it didn't go down that route. I.E, her mind breaking or something. Instead she turned that pain into hatred, which probably saved her from breaking down.

Now all Mike needs to do is stay the hell away from her forever, because nothing he says is going to top what he said the night before, and since THAT was apparently a lie(to her)... what could he possibly say to even attempt fixing this? It'll just look like more lies, right?

This really is a perfect visual representation of the source of that face. Lucy's desperately trying to figure out what he wants from her, and Mike can't figure it out; all the while, he's making it HER problem and using HER and all of his other friends as an emotional outlet.

I'm proud too!! :3 It took me a long, long while to really accept my lack of hearing - growing up oral isolated me a lot! But now that I'm growing to love myself, that includes my deaf ear, and includes my terrible hearing in my left. And I like to see what growing up with both d/Deaf culture AND hearing culture would have been like in Lucy!
