Due to the shape of the cockpit, the shape of the visible fuselage, and the paint-scheme of the plane, this looks like (as in I'm not sure) a P-51 mustang. (I'm not sure if the plane name was mentioned as part of the request, but it can't hurt to guess the plane. :U)
But komerade 88, you forget that akkording to sekrit dokument movie Red Tails that mono-propeller P-51 could match speed ov jet-powered ME-262 with no problem, and zat it's six .50 cals in ze wings culd match and best the ME's 4x20mm cannons in it's noze, and win a head-on fight.
@Lotsaspaghetti and 88mm: Also, I'd like to add a bit of history from Jane's WWII Flight Simulator, where a tour of the various planes and parts tells you that the idea was to make it a fighter- bomber because of the new jet engine turbine, but it couldn't fully work the way they wanted. The higher speeds led to a slightly higher potential risk of blacking out, especially without pressure suits. Not only that, but the complicated wiring in the engines would get tangled and could short out. Worst of all was the turbine's throttle itself. if you accelerated too fast, you'd born out the turbine, and down you go. If you accelerated too slow, though, you'd stall the engine out, and even one failing is bad. check out those tours and clips on youtube for full specs on both aircraft!

@LotsaSpaghetti it is a P-51/P-52 Aircraft, the request is based off this image; I've been waiting to see it in all its glory for quite a while.

The request was Fighter-Pilot Paulo lying on the wing of his plane, smiling at the pinup Lucy picture on the side of the plane.
It was inspired by an image I found online, however the previous link has broken and I can't find the same image anywhere.

Well...
German engineering in a nutshell.
Hi-tech, but a few problems right off the bat.
