*Lucy walks home, carrying a bag of presents.*

*Lucy looks off into the distance with a grateful smile.*
Lucy (thinking): You know.. it’s still pretty nice they try every year. And I got so many gifts to take home.. They really like me, huh? I’m not sure if I deserve it.

Mike: Lucy.
*Lucy gasps upon hearing the voice and stops walking.*

*Mike stands behind a tree. He and Lucy look at each other neutrally.*
Lucy: …
Mike: …

*Lucy gives him a skeptical look.*
Lucy: So what is it this time?
Mike: Um..

*Mike blushes and holds out a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Sparkles float around him as he shyly looks away.*
Mike: H-here.
*Lucy looks surprised.*

*Lucy looks up at him, curious.*
Lucy: M-Mike..?

*Mike smiles softly, still avoiding eye contact.*
Mike: No surprises this year. Just something I’ve been meaning to share with you. Happy birthday.

*Lucy holds the present, looking touched. She looks down at it.*
Mike: It’s the least I could offer, now that we’re being a little more honest with our feelings.

*Lucy’s expression changes to a scowl.*

*She reads the label on the heart-shaped box. It features hearts and a carnation, with “Paulo” written in fancy cursive at the center.*

*Mike laughs.*
Mike: But if you had to ask me, I’d say you have pretty bad taste! Haha!

*Lucy flies into a rage, giving Mike a karate-chop to the head.*
Lucy: oh GET OVER YOURSELF!
*Mike continues to grin as he gets hit.*

*Lily, Yashy and Chirpy look on. Chirpy is wearing a birthday hat.*
Lily: And here I was about to call him unfaithful.
*Yashy smiles.*
Yashy: I’ve got a newfound respect for you, Flea!
Chirpy: Happy birthday Girl-Kitty!
