*Jasmine looks at them with huge, puppy-dog eyes.*
*Cassidy hesitates.*
Cassidy: Sorry, I got choir this year.
*Mina raises a finger in the air.*
Mina: And I got video games!
*Cassidy pouts at Mina, clearly unimpressed. Mina frowns, her hands on her hips.*
Mina: I am NOT spending any of my after-school time AT SCHOOL!
*Jasmine enters the classroom, looking back at her friends with an awkward smile.*

*Jasmine, wide-eyed, notices Abbey putting up a poster.*
*Abbey turns to see Jasmine, a neutral look on his face.*

Okay so….I don’t really have that many problems with Abbey. I understand why he is the way he is and I appreciate the effort he makes in trying to keep himself together for Daisy, his sister and his foster parents; BUT ,and it’s a big but, he needs to really try and keep his temper COMPLETELY at school. School is not the place or the time and will never be appropriate to lose that volatile temper. Abbey doesn’t just risk the safety of Daisy and himself when he loses that temper but everyone at the school who would be in the vicinity. He needs to ACTIVELY try and not let things get to him in the school halls, you keep tab of the things that made you upset or angry during the day and you safely release that anger at home. (whether it’s a sport, punching a pillow or video games….) There is always a safe and non-violent solution. I have dealt with explosive anger […]
