I just realized that this is the first page where Tess does not wear her heart lock necklace. It is just a heart, as if Paulo has finally gotten her to open up and see love. Maybe that’s just me reading too far into an aesthetic change, but I’m kinda sappy I guess. Just struck me as kinda metaphorical considering what is happening.

Daisy keeps making me think she looks like some sorta gypsy. I’d totally wear her outfit if I was pretty, though. It’s all pink and frilly and stuff. And Tess’ dress design was actually drawn up by her creator, Lily! So yeah.. Mike and Paulo are off on their wonderful adventure!
