*Blur stares at Mike, dumbfounded.*
Blur: You’re going out with Daisy?

*Mike lies on his bed, arms behind his head.*
Mike: We’re just seeing the carnival. We get in for less if we go as a “couple”.
*Blur frowns, skeptical.*
Blur: Uh-huh.

*Mike closes his eyes.*
Mike: She said she’d be here at six. Wake me up if I miss the doorbell, okay?
*Blur smiles affectionately at Mike.*
Blur: You’re a real gentleman.

[The rest of this page alternates between Paulo and Mike preparing for their respective “dates” in their respective homes.]
*Paulo is wearing a suit and tie and frowning at an image of himself in the mirror.*

*Paulo sticks out his tongue at his reflection.*
Paulo: Bleh.

*Paulo bows mockingly to his reflection. Sparkles appear around his head.*
Paulo: Sir, oh, sir! May I take your keys?♥

*Blur looks quizzically at Mike.*
Blur: Shouldn’t you wear something nice?
*Mike glances at Blur.*
Mike: It’s NOT a date! I look fine!

*Paulo sits at a table with a bottle of hair gel in his hand. He makes a fist and frowns at himself in the mirror.*
Paulo: I look FRUITY!

*Paulo’s hair overcomes the gel, poking back up in his usual style. He smiles anxiously.*

*Mike clutches a wad of bills in his fist, looking worried. Blur looks curiously at Mike.*
Blur: What’s with all the cash?
Mike: Well, I owe her one! I’m not letting her pay tonight!

*Paulo looks down at a flower corsage, smiling nervously.*
Paulo: I hope she likes this..

*Paulo holds the corsage up, grinning enthusiastically. Sparkles appear around him.*
Paulo: It’s 100% real plastic!
[An arrow, pointed to the corsage: $2.95]

*Mike glances over his shoulder as the doorbell chimes. He looks surprised.*
Mike: Oh, that must be her!

*Paulo is startled by the buzz of his doorbell. He fumbles with the corsage.*
Paulo: OH CRAP SHE’S HERE!!

*Mike walks calmly to the door, feet tapping on the floor.*

*Paulo rushes to the door, his feet skittering rapidly on the floor.*

*Mike opens the door. His eyes go wide in surprise.*

*Paulo slams open the door. He blushes intensely.*

Veronica: You should be more like Mike, Paulo! Not have a care in the world.. though it’s obviously because Mike doesn’t see this as an actual date..
