Veronica: Hello and welcome to the next chapter! The calm before the storm, as some people might believe :)

When I first designed Rachel’s star outfit all the way back in “Back and Forth” I didn’t realise it was going to be a haunting presence for the next.. many years. It was a design I didn’t really think much about, and it kinda shows. I always hated the colour scheme I picked for it! Rachel is a black and white dog already, so to have a white top with the black dress and the yellow star? Ugly!

I was kinda hoping to see if I could salvage the design.. and as usual I seem to veer towards nice warm colours. Anyway! Rachel gets some nice bike shorts as well! Looking cute! Oh, what’s that Jessica?

more seriously, Jess trying to be a suck-up makes me suspect that she doesn’t quite understand what upset the other seniors so much. Rach (and everyone else) needs an apology and a show of understanding why the play hurt her, not just being nice to her

Yesssss, Jess needs to accept some accountability for her play! She didn’t make her friends into stereotypes on purpose, and *she* doesn’t see her friends that way, so she thought it was a lighthearted joke (or that no one would notice).

Unfortunately, she then had the play performed in front of the entire school, and I’m sure there were a few classmates who also recognized who those characters were supposed to be. And not all of them would be nice about it.
