*Mike hesitates, gritting his teeth.*
Mike: Oh, the path back home goes past.. that burning tree.

*Mike observes as the tree, having fallen over, blazes on.*

*Mike sweats nervously as he dashes past the burning tree.*

*Mike’s ears perk up as he hears a voice.*
Lily: Oh god oh god..

*Mike turns back, fear in his eyes.*
Mike: ?

*A figure on the other side of the tree comes into view.*

*Lily struggles to pull the unconscious body of a bird.*
Mike: Wait.. a hedgehog?

*Lily pauses, glancing up to see Mike.*

*Mike looks on in concern.*
Lily: Don’t just stand there! Help me!

*Lucy, still in her house, glances behind her shoulder out the window.*
Lucy: Is that smoke?

*Yashy grins.*
Yashy: Smokey the bear will save the day with his smokey powers!

*Chirpy looks worried.*
Chirpy: Is somethin’ bad outside?
Lucy: I’m sure it’s all fine.
*Yashy looks exasperated.*
Yashy: Weren’t you listening?

Yashy: Smokey the friggin’ BEAR will save the day!
*Yashy and Chirpy raise their hands in triumph.*
Chirpy: Friggin’ BEAR yay!

*Someone at the door knocks frantically. Lucy turns to look, as Yashy confidently closes her eyes and raises her arms.*
Yashy: There he is!
*Chirpy looks to the door with a smile.*
Chirpy: Wow!!

*Lucy leaves to answer the door. Yashy holds up her arm instructively.*
Yashy: Be on your best behavior, ’kay?
*Chirpy looks fretful.*
Chirpy: What if I’m not?
Yashy: He’ll eat you!

*Mike stands in the rain, panting and drenched in water. He holds the unconscious bird in his arms.*

Mike: Lucy.. please help him..
*Lucy stands in the doorway, surprised by the sight.*

*Lucy’s surprise changes to concern.*
