*David trembles, clasping his hands together and crying.*
David: B-but aren’t you gonna tell on me?

*Lucy looks unimpressed.*
Lucy: Why would I care? It’s YOUR absentee record.

*David stops crying.*
David: …

*David turns away, pumping his fist in the air and grinning triumphantly.*
David: Great Scott, you’re right! Now’s my chance!!
*Lucy stares ahead, blankly.*
Lucy: Good luck.

*David looks back at Lucy, smiling.*
David: Hey, why dontcha join me, Lucy-baby? I could do with a dazzling accomplice!
Lucy: No.

*David throws his arms up, coming closer to Lucy.*
David: C’mon, be a hooker with me!! It’ll be so exciting!!
*Lucy shrinks back, scandalized.*
Lucy: Erk!

*Lucy and David notice a sudden crowd of onlookers, whispering among themselves. Lucy blushes. David smiles, clueless.*
David: ?

*Lucy sidles up against David, smiling sweetly.*
Lucy: Hee, hee ♥ First of all, it’s “hookey”..
*David blushes, looking at Lucy with a smile.*
David: Oh.
Lucy: And secondly..
David: Yeah?

*Lucy makes a threatening grin.*
Lucy: If you don’t get out of here in the next five seconds.. I WILL knee you in the crotch.
*David pauses, his smile drops.*

*David rushes away.*
David: Daddy’s got you, Davie Jrs…
*Paulo appears, smirking.*
Paulo: What’s your rate?
*Lucy looks mortified.*

*David wipes the sweat off his brow, looking haggard. In the background, Paulo gets kicked into the horizon.*
David: Phew!

*David slumps over.*
David: Well, great. How can I have an epic super special birthday adventure all by myself? I NEED a sidekick!

*David suddenly notices a passerby.*
David: ?

*The passerby is Justin, a young dog boy wearing goggles on his forehead and a camera around his neck. He looks forward as he walks, minding his own business.*

*David stares at Justin.*

*Justin notices David.*
Justin: ?

*David’s eyes light up, sparkles surrounding his face.*

*Justin winces in fear.*
Justin: ?!
