abbey’s been going to therapy, i wonder if he’s trying to respect the boundaries that other people are placing up (even though he feels something’s wrong in his gut, he doesn’t have the context the readers do) so all he can healthily do is put word out there that if mike needs anything, he can come to abbey/abbey will help without forcing the choice for mike bc again.. they’re all little kids just trying their best to navigate situations like this. like there’s a sort of trust he’s giving mike right now :0
