David: Tablecloths are for fancy restaurants! So now we’re fine dinin’!
*David slaps the glass down on the table. Sue rolls her eyes. Abbey smiles nervously at Tess.*

*Tess gives a faint smile.*
Tess: Heh.

*Tess is suddenly startled.*

Tess (thinking): Is something down there..?
*Tess looks down at her knees and the edge of the table cloth to find nothing.*

*Tess glances back down, slightly irritated. Mike looks away, sweating a little.*

*Tess returns to her weary expression. Mike appears concerned.*

*A hand comes out from under the table and grabs Tess’ thigh.*

*Tess yanks the tablecloth up to see Paulo, who is grimacing with a deep blush. Tess scowls.*
Tess: Paulo!!

Author commentary

Veronica: I like that Tess sees this as a completely normal situation. Sometimes it helps being David’s friend if you want to do something sneaky.
