Jasmine really did like Paulo, but didn’t quite feel ready to have a full-time bf and all of the other crap she does, on top of friends and schoolwork. She thought that maybe when she was a Sophmore, or at least a bit older and better at handling stuff, they could get back together. She was hurt when Paulo said that he liked someone else, and had her suspicions on who it was (and she was correct.) When she saw Rachel all over him, and him seemingly playing along, she got a little (no actually a lot) jealous and protective.

Umm.. Jasmine, what are you doing. When she quit the violin lessons, she made it not a big deal by saying that she didn’t enjoy them and didn’t wanna do them anyway… So now she’s making it like it was such a big sacrifice?? Nah, girl. You can miss me with that.

But I mean… she IS only a freshman - hasn’t been around enough to know how to handle these kinds of situations…

I can only hope she is able to “get over” Paulo and all this. She doesn’t need to get mixed up in this drama. She’s got too much going for her…

I give Paulo major kudos here for being the person who actually attempts to reconcile with Jasmine. He may fail horribly here, but I give him props for trying. Paulo is trying to at least maintain a level of friendship with Jasmine who isn’t sure at this point how she wants to feel about Paulo.

And for all the people who are bashing her for being upset despite them being broken up, give her a break. She’s a freshman in high school for starters. And they JUST broke up so clearly emotions are still going to be there. She still has feelings for Paulo even if she was mature enough to realize they couldn’t maintain the relationship at that time due to their schedules. Its going to take them a bit of time to figure things out between them. Just don’t hate on her for being upset about the situation, be happy she’s being mature enough not to take it out on anyone, especially Paulo.
