So, this is interesting. He did not speak to Lucy when he could avoid her like he said he would and have been well on following that.

I wonder what he is about to ask for now after this. And I do feel for Mike since this guy is a tie to something he has been told to ignore.

I’m actually not entirely certain Augustus is here maliciously. After all, Mike’s been pretty true to his word since their last talk, and has basically avoided Lucy to the best of his ability. The only exception that springs to mind being the Arcade, which wasn’t really Mike’s fault, as he didn’t know she was there, and once in the arcade, everone else wanted to stay. (And this is a good while after that, so I’m almost certain that’s not the reason) In fact, considering Augustus’ track record? He might be picking up a lot of the same red flags Lucy was giving off when she started going down her depressive spiral.

But that’s just my gut reaction. The more logical explanation considering how this chapter started is that he’s looking to help Lucy with her nightmares and anxiety in some way. At the very least, I know Augustus isn’t there to lash out or retaliate in any way. Even when he was an ass, that was never really his MO. He’s looking to fix something, and if he’s coming to Mike, it’s likely pretty serious one way or another.

Oh boy. This better go well or civil at least. The last thing Mike needs is for anyone to lash out towards him as he probably already expects. The last time Mike properly spoke to Augustus was in “Burnt Bridges” to discuss what happened between him and Lucy. It’s possible he may try to further understand what drove him away from Lucy (once saying to Lucy “your boyfriend doesn’t want you anymore” got me thinking about that).
