*Lucy and Mike stand on the balcony together.*
Daisy: What are they doing out there?

*Sue glances at them.*
Sue: I dunno.. I didn’t see what happened.. Lucy just wanted to talk with him, I think..

*Daisy looks worried.*
Daisy: I hope it wasn’t anything serious..

Sue: Oh, you know Mike an’ Lucy. They’re inseparable. Things will work out eventually.
Daisy: Maybe..
*Paulo sneaks by, looking nervous.*

*Paulo squints in frustration. His mistletoe dangles in front of his face.*
Paulo: Ugh.. This night woulda been easier if she stayed home.

*Paulo notices Katie standing beside him, sipping a drink.*
Paulo: …

*He perks up and grins.*
Paulo: Oh!
*Katie raises an eyebrow and puts a hand on her hip.*
Katie: Don’t poke my eye out with that thing!

*Paulo smiles mischievously and points to his mistletoe.*
Paulo: Fancy seeing you here tonight, Katie~ ♥ See this mistletoe? I think you know the drill~ ♥

*Katie blushes and touches the mistletoe, looking at Paulo with dreamy eyes.*
Katie: Oh, honey..

*Katie grabs the mistletoe and lights up.*
Katie: That’s, like, such a smart idea! Let me try it on Jake over there!

*Paulo looks shocked.*
Paulo: Wh-what?
*Katie snaps the mistletoe from his hat and runs off, beaming.*
Katie: Thanks!

*Katie eagerly scans the rooms.*
Katie: Oh, Jake~
*Behind her, Abbey yells at David by the punch bowl.*
Abbey: You WHAT?!

*David smiles and gives a thumbs up.*
David: To amp up the fun, I’ve spiked up the punch!

Abbey: How could you?! Are you all obsessed with taking advantage of girls?!
*David smiles, confused.*
David: Huh?

*David spoons up some of the punch, which is full of thorns.*
David: See! 100% organic thorns! Good for boys AND girls!
*Abbey looks confused. Katie walks around.*
Katie: Jake, where are..

*Katie trips and falls face-first into the punch bowl, chugging some of it.*

*David has a blank face.*
David: It’s nicer to share.
*Katie, upturned punch bowl on her head, looks mortified.*
Katie: urp
*Abbey, horrified, reaches to help.*
Abbey: Katie!!

Author commentary

Veronica: Abbey is such a wet blanket haha, but honestly maybe that kind of person is needed considering what Paulo and David get themselves into. David didn’t mean any actual harm, though! Just physical harm! To your throat! And organs!

.. honestly maybe Abbey is not a wet blanket after all. Maybe he is a normal person.

Paulo thinks Katie is super attractive, but never considers her, I guess because she never considers Paulo and only really likes Mike because everyone else does!
