*Tess stands with her hands on her hips, smiling.*
Tess: It’s almost midnight! Can everybody gather ’round? I’ve got gifts~!
*Paulo smiles up at her with hearts coming from him.*

*Tess looks around.*
Tess: Where’d Lucy go?
*Paulo points at his mouth and chuckles, blushing.*
Paulo: I opened my gift early~ ♥

*Daisy looks at Mike.*
Daisy: Didn’t she come in with you?
Mike: Oh, no..

David: Did you leave her in the bedroom?
*Mike grimaces, embarrassed.*
Mike: NO!

*David and Mike notice Lucy and Yashy on the balcony.*

*Yashy climbs up on the ledge.*
Yashy: Mommmyyy? I’m tiiired..
*Lucy looks at her sweetly.*
Lucy: Aww..

*Lucy takes Yashy into her arms.*
Lucy: We’ll be leaving soon.
Yashy: Sing me to sleep, Mommy~

*Lucy smiles, cradling both Chirpy and Yashy.*
Lucy: Alright..

*Lucy looks out from the balcony and begins to sing a song in Spanish.*
Lucy: ♪ Arroz con leche, me quiero casar.. Con un mexicano que sepa cantar~ ♪

*Lucy looks joyous.*
Lucy: ♪ El hijo del rey me manda un papel.. Me manda a decir que me case con él ♪

*Yashy and Chirpy are both sleeping in Lucy’s arms.*
Lucy: ♪ Con esté sí, con éste no ♪

*Tess, Mike, and David peer at Lucy.*
Lucy: Con éste mero me caso yo~ ♪

*David calls out.*
David: HEY LUCY!! YOUR VOICE IS PRETTY!!
*Lucy blushes, mortified.*

*Lucy smacks David in the head furiously.*

*Lucy yells at the group.*
Lucy: HOW LONG WERE YOU THERE?!
*Tess looks shocked. Mike smiles nervously.*
Tess: You can speak Spanish?!
*David lays on the floor, smiling.*

*Lucy smiles, putting a hand to her cheek.*
Lucy: Well, not really. It’s a song they taught us in middle school and it’s one of Yashy’s fav-

*Lucy points suddenly, looking angry again.*
Lucy: WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS!!

*Sue raises an eyebrow as Lucy continues to yell.*
Sue: How are her pets able to sleep through that?
*Amaya shrugs.*

Veronica: Aww Paulo is so happy, he looks very sweet in panel two.

There was a baby I used to babysit when I was in college and I basically had to put her to bed while her parents were at work. Oftentimes, I played this particular song to her as she dozed off, it was a song that got stuck in my head constantly!! It was the same set of spanish songs, and I guess that inspired me to get Lucy to sing the same song to lull her own pets to sleep!

I love her attitude change, from motherly to mad, to relaxed again as she explains, then RAGE again!
