*Lucy stands alone, holding a drink. Tess sneaks up behind her.*

*Tess smiles deviously.*
Tess: Hey, Lucyyyy! Come sing with me!
*Lucy looks annoyed.*
Lucy: No.

*Tess grabs her arm, smiling.*
Tess: I heard you got a great voice for it!
*Lucy glares at her.*
Lucy: I said no.

*Sue looks outside.*
Tess: Sing something sweet to your pets, then? They’ll love it!
Lucy: They hear enough of me at home.

*Sue turns to them, smiling.*
Sue: Speakin’ of singing..

Sue: We got carolers outside.
Tess: Oh!

*David and Abbey watch the carolers. David looks shocked.*
David: Whoa! Look at the girl up front!
*Abbey looks thoughtful.*
Abbey: Aww, she’s really cute.

*Mike walks through the room, holding a drink. He looks downtrodden.*
Partygoers: They’re so sweet! What a gorgeous one in the middle! Yeah, with the black hair? Aww~

*Mike’s eyes widen.*
Partygoers: Her fur’s as white as snow!

*Mike turns around, blushing.*
Mike (thinking): Could it be..?
Partygoers: So adorable!

Stacy: What a cutie!
*Stacy, who is donning a Santa dress, holds her hands to her face and grins. Mike steps in between her and John, who is wearing a Christmas sweater.*
John: I love Christmas carols!

*Mike puts his hands to the glass and looks out with a hopeful smile.*
Mike (thinking): It has to be!

*A group of carolers stand outside, singing. Sandy is standing in the middle.*

*Mike stares. He rubs his eyes.*

*“Sandy” is revealed to be a different girl with bobbed hair, straight bangs, and two ribbons in her hair.*

*Mike looks let down.*
Mike: …

*David smiles and points.*
David: That’s DEFINITELY not Sandy!
*Mike clenches his fists, glowering at him.*

Author commentary

Veronica: I like that Tess chastised Paulo for bothering Lucy and getting in her personal space, but now Tess is getting all up in Lucy’s business. I guess boundaries don’t count for everyone, rich girl!!!!!

Mike, you gotta let it go man
