As entertaining as these recent pages have been, I seriously doubt this chapter is going to impact the storyline as much as it may seem like such a situation would. This is definitely a new level of maturity that Paulo is going through. Maybe Mike has a few helpful answers for him now that Paulo is past the irate, don’t-question-my-manliness phase.
What better way is there than to ask the person you like if they like someone?

LGBT characters have been getting some fantastic representation in webcomics of late. Paulo in this case, however, stands out. While it’s becoming increasingly easy to find queer and trans characters in webcomics, there’s usually not a whole lot of time devoted to showing the discomfort that can come with accepting that and indeed, it’s often hard to imagine them otherwise. Paulo, however, who has consistently been cocky, abrasive and often douche-y is not the usual suspect and hadn’t been previously as we watched him grow. It’ll be interesting to see how he either tries to embrace or reject this side of himself and how he’ll change once he’s come to terms with it.
