I had a theory a while back that Mike and Alejandro might be combined together in Lucy’s nightmares.
Mikelandro, if you will.
Because Lucy sees Mike almost the same as Alejandro, just to be used for self gain and tossed aside.
I have no proof, but it HAS been about 4 years in comic time since the incident and she has to someone’s face on Alejandro if she doesn’t quite remember it.
It’s a guess. I don’t know why Mike wouldn’t be here otherwise.

One thing i noticed about Lucy’s ptsd of Alejandro is how the other characters who also went through were completely unaffected by it. They pretty much forgot it happened shortly after. And hell pure objectivily her fear doesn’t make sense. She and Mike completely beat the soul out of Alejandro. If anything he should be having the nightmares about the asswhopping he got.
But fear doesn’t care if it makes sense. You can’t judge someone from having strong reactions of something you got through because we all process things differently

Maybe a part of Lucy’s fear was that if Mike hadn’t woken up and started wailing on Alejandro just in time, the other three wouldn’t have stepped in to save her from being choked to death. And now that Mike hasn’t been her friend in such a long time/properly been in her life, maybe a part of her feels so alone that if something like this were to happen again, there is no “Mike” to step up and save her. That’s just my thoughts though!
