This is not the start of something healthy. This is a second false start. They may flood the engine or they might be able to pull together some semblance of a healthy friendship. This page was perfect and the tension of not knowing what comes next is heavy.

I would agree with…reaching a general agreement on both parties (not 100% making up and going back to how things were) maybe a LOOONG time ago, BEFORE Eternal Flames, but that ship’s sailed, 100% to me. Now this is just some deep-rooted emotional-dependency issue and obsession that Lucy has. It’s just got this uneasy creepiness to it.

Seems like her tune was always Mike. I think they could work- but only if she learns not to be dependent on him and Mike learns some agency. Lucy’s problem is she’s emotionally dependent on others and doesn’t know how to self-regulate. Mike also needs to learn some self-respect and put himself first.

I imagine the only way this working is if they COMPLETELY start from zero and both go through recovery. They could have a relationship whatever they may want that to be.

But they’re teenagers and it’s hard to say at that age what’s best for yourself lol.

Please, for the love of all things holy, can this not lead into disaster. These two have been through enough at this point. Mike, don’t do or say anything stupid or regretful cause it is clear Lucy has finally reached her limit. And can no one walk outside for these last few pages. Don’t need a bomb going off to finish this chapter.

I can see it now.. the story ends with Mike and Lucy losing all of their friends because they’re all fed up with their drama.. they inevitably fail too because their friendship is toxic

I will not understand why some people want them to make up, there’s no healthy and proper way for both of them to do it, not in this short of a time frame, IN NO WAY IN HELL.

After everything that happened, what they need to do is forget about each other completely and focus on themselves, and MAYBE , but I guess that’d be hard given they’re in the same school…but yeah.

Them being together would be even worse than Mike + Sandy lol, hell, even being friends again, to a lesser extent…ESPECIALLY after “Line in the sand”, after Lucy’s stunt.

I know a lot of people think they can’t work out after everything but I’m hoping SO HARD that right here they make amends and both apologies for everything on each of their ends and start working on a healthy friendship ❤️‍🩹🥺 I mean, who knows! Maybe they do and the story line goes from this mess to Lucy helping Mike break it off with his train wreck of a relationship so he can finally be free and heal. Maybe they will help each other with stuff and eventually rekindle their feelings for each other too! 👀 (I’m being EXTREMELY hopeful 😅 but I love them both and want them to at least make up to be friends if not romantic in the future of course! Honestly, I wish the story would end with them just trying to be friends again. Though Lucy is crushing on Mike so hard, she can’t be “just friends” with him. It’s either having him as a bf or nothing.

It got so bad that most of the readers want them to stay away from each other, and that says something lol.

However on the other hand… he might just be too numb to say anything, to DO anything.
