What is Mike supposed to do in this situation (no offense meant)? Being her friend is using her and being possessive, ignoring her is bad, it seems like a lose-lose.

Yeah i agree with you. I think the best thing for him to do in this situation to go to paulo, daisy, sue, or even augustus and tell them she needs someone. He just cant and shouldnt be that person for her right now, not because he is bad or wrong in anyway but rather because they are both just as broken as the other. Kinda like how are you supposed to love someone if you cant love yourself but rather how can you be a pillar of support for somewhen you yourself are falling apart.

I wasn’t expecting Lucy to be the one who finally notices how shut down Mike has become. I was truly hoping it would be his mom or girlfriend or Paulo. Lucy is going to be the one who helps Mike, even though they’re on bad terms 😰. Is this where Mike passes out and gets hospitalized, right in front of Lucy? I hope Mike is just making it abundantly clear the damage Lucy has caused him, he already felt dread and atoned for what he was doing earlier with the whole Sandy thing, just being played along for the ride. He looks worn and tired, and hopefully Lucy can begin to see that if things are to work out, some things need to change for the better

When I started reading BCB I found both Mike and Lucy to be a bit much, but with time I just feel anxious for both of them.
Both have done some shitty stuff, but they’re still just people, kids, even, within the bounds of the story.
I’d rather not see Lucy miserable to the point of cruelly sniping at her friends and relapsing into an unhealthy relationship or Mike utterly isolated after burning a lot of bridges and pushing himself to a destructive degree.
Maybe some apologies and then a fuck ton of space are in order.
